Booking and scheduling
We ask for the move date, the type of building, and a rough sense of how many rooms of furniture when someone first calls or messages us. That lets us size the crew correctly instead of guessing on the day and either sending too few people or too many.
Weekends fill up faster because so many Irvine leases and closings happen around the same time each month. A weekday slot usually gives you more choice over the exact start time.
What to expect on move day
The crew shows up with moving blankets, straps, dollies, and floor protection already loaded on the truck, so there is no waiting around for equipment. We do a quick walkthrough first to confirm what is going, especially if plans changed since the initial call.
For apartment moves, we confirm the elevator reservation and loading zone details the day before, so there is no scrambling to figure that out with the truck already there.
Packing and fragile items
You can handle your own packing and just book us for the loading and driving, or ask us to pack some or all of the house. Fragile items like dishes and framed art get individually wrapped rather than bundled together in a box.
If you are not sure how much packing you want done, tell us which rooms worry you most, usually the kitchen or a garage full of odds and ends, and we can quote just those rooms.
Long-distance specific questions
For moves leaving Orange County, we talk through the route, the estimated drive time, and the delivery window on the other end before the move date arrives, so nobody is guessing about arrival time.
If a long-distance move needs a short storage gap between pickup and delivery, we can usually accommodate that rather than force both ends to align perfectly.
Insurance and building requirements
Some buildings, particularly larger complexes and anything near UC Irvine, ask for a certificate of insurance before allowing a moving truck to use a loading dock. We can provide that when a building requires it, but it needs to be requested a few days ahead of the move.
