What to have ready
Before reaching out, it helps to know your target move date, whether the building has an elevator or stairs, and if there are any building rules about moving hours or reserved loading zones. That information lets us give you a realistic plan instead of a rough guess.
If you already know you want packing help, mention which rooms so we can plan crew size for both the packing and the loading portion of the day.
How we follow up
Once we have the basics, we walk through the details with you, confirm the date, and talk through anything unusual about the property, a narrow stairwell, an HOA rule, a long carry from the parking area to the door. That conversation is where most of the planning actually happens.
For long-distance moves, we also talk through the delivery window on the other end, so whoever is receiving the load knows roughly when to expect the truck.
Apartment and complex details worth mentioning
If you are in an Irvine apartment or a similar complex elsewhere in Orange County, mention the building name when you reach out. Some buildings have specific rules we may already be familiar with from a past job in that complex.
For a labor-only job, let us know the truck size you already booked, since that affects how we plan the load order and crew size for loading or unloading it.
Long-distance planning conversations
For a move leaving California entirely, we spend more time on the initial conversation talking through the route, rest stops, and the delivery window, since there is more that can shift over a longer drive. Having a flexible arrival window on your end makes that planning easier.
If timing on the receiving end is fixed, a specific closing date or a lease that starts on an exact day, tell us that early so we can build the route and departure time around it rather than adjust after the fact.
